INTRODUCTION

Classic set theory is extremely useful in the study of any branch of mathematics. It was developed by George Boole in Lincoln, England (between 1815 and 1864) and Georg Cantor in Saint Petersburg, Germany (between 1845 and 1918). This theory has helped unify ideas and has contributed to reducing mathematical concepts to their logical foundations by an elegant and systematic method (Apostol, 1967). This course aims to make a compilation of concepts from the Classic Set Theory to be used in various topics from other branches of Mathematics.
